Honestly, I started using proper skin care as early as age 13. Yup, got my first pimple, freaked out, asked my mom what was that and the first thing she did was take me straight to Clinique and got me skin care products (my mom was bougie) and from there I was navigating my skincare life. I used a lot of drugstore skincare until I discovered Korean skin care, with products under budget with results that of high-end products, I got hooked and the rest is history. So yeah my skincare is heavily biased and filled with all Korean skincare products, but it was what worked for me throughout my teenage years so why not? 

 

I only got into makeup seriously in my senior year of high school, it was something my friends and I would kiki over. I first started with Korean makeup because I was familiar with the Korean skincare. The biggest yikes decision if you ask me. After wearing bb creams and cushion foundations that were definitely NOT my shade. I decided to finally jump into the big pool of real global makeup. From watching youtube MUA's tips on how to contour and somehow butchering it on my own face, to buying makeup that was absolutely horrible. It was a process of a lot of learning, navigating, and editing my base for comparison of what truly is an outstanding product. Along with a lot of practicing late into midnight to realizing how to make products work for me. I only started getting into serious makeup artistry about a year ago and have a long way to go but I'm excited about this journey.

 

I made a lot of mistakes, but honestly, that is the truth about this lifestyle, you win some you lose some. But for me, I won't let my friends and people repeat the same mistakes as I did. Which is why I created this blog. Everyone's skin is like them, unique. What may work for one doesn't work for another. But hey, if my advice can help you have a smaller hole in your pocket, and put you two steps ahead of your game, then I can consider my work done.
